Hey Phil, delighted you like my apps.

I totally understand where you're coming from on the need for a universal login. It's something I've given a lot of thought to.

For Footprint I've already integrated OpenID and I'll be looking at this for TrackPath very soon too.

I actually want to take this a lot further and provide options to sync the data between Footprint, TrackPath, and a couple of 3rd party web apps. I'm going to do all this through DooSync, which will be a syncing framework for other web apps.

It's early days for DooSync, but now that I've got two apps that share common data elements, I'll be able to have some fun working on the conflict negotiations and concurrency control algorithms : )

When I said 2 I actually meant several, soz, I was only thinking of footprint and track path as they're the beta's I've been involved with at some level. Twission obviously rocks as does short.ie.

That's a 2 good apps you developed. Have you considered creating a single logon for your apps or using something like OpenID? One thing that's really getting me down the web world is having to register everytime I find something useful.

[...] Earlier today over on the Webstrong Blog I launched the first phase of TrackPath. A simple web app to help you track your quotes and proposals. Below is a copy of the post. You can find the original one here. [...]
